Future Needs representing SAFIR-Med project in ITS European Congress
The ITS European Congress took place in Toulouse's MEETT convention center, from 30 May to 1 June, 2022. The SAFIR-Med project was present through one of the consortium members. Anastasia Bafouni-Kotta from Future Needs was there as part of a special interest round-table titled: ''Urban Air Mobility: SESAR's Very Large-Scale Demonstrations on the test bench''. Along with representatives of TindAIR, AMU-LED and GOF 2.0 the topics of tactical deconfliction and public acceptance of Urban Air Mobility were addressed in the session, while the audience had the chance to ask questions and provide feedback.
During the SAFIR-Med presentation, the importance of achieving safe, sustainable, socially accepted and socially beneficial medical urban air mobility was showcased and the challenges for UAM were discussed. During the congress the SAFIR-Med representatives had the chance to connect with other UAM-related projects such as FF2020, AiRMOUR and Drive2theFuture and share insights. The ITS Congress is the biggest event focused on smart mobility and the digitalisation of transport. For three days, participants enjoyed up to 100 sessions in the technical programme, and had the chance to visit a lively exhibition with 60 stands and more than 100 exhibitors showcasing big ideas and smart mobility innovations from industry leaders around Europe. This offered both delegates and visitors the perfect place to network and learn about the latest developments.
